Artist Statement

My work is a way of showing the "fragile moments" of life. I seek to tell about what escapes our gaze every day, in the fuss and simple earthly concerns. The series "Fragile Moments", which I've been painting for years, is a kind of a collection of those moments in my life. I prefer to work in oil, this material allows me to combine complex shades, work with texture, and paint in a pastose manner.

The still life paintings in the "Fragile Moments" series are also largely inspired by my work with interiors. I love incorporating my paintings into emerging interiors, my art allows me to complete the image of a living space. I pay a lot of attention to colour: in my works colour is one of the tools best suited to conveying mood and the atmosphere of the moment.

Another theme that inspires me is a series of works about motherhood. In the language of painting I like to talk about children and our relationships. I invite the viewer to look at life with children through my eyes. I want to share the moments that remain unnoticed in the ordinary course of life.
